Their NetWriter software (self-refreshing) option is far better than their normal software.

A useful book...

The Good...

1. Tremendous selection of lines offered, maybe the tops in the industry in this respect

2. While their big four sports odds are pretty vanilla, there is a lot of value in their alternative and other sports lines

3. They pay reasonably quickly

The Bad...

1. The software is awful...times out like you are going to rob them if they don't...most disorganized website ever...and is slow at post time

2. They cancelled a bet of mine for no reason recently that I placed at +130 and they sent an email offering to take the bet at +120 (ie. not exactly a bad line just trying to screw me out of $50 if it won)

Probably my favorite book right now.

Variety is fantastic.

Only 'complaint' is the software, but, the timeouts are the only real problem. Much quicker than most it seems.

I have never had the chance to play with them yet, however I've only heard good things about them.

nice betting menu, very extensive

Terrible clerks

Longest account numbers on the planet, ridiculously long. Nobody knows what is going on there, limits are very vague and ever changing. Also customer service is clueless when you have a question.

Should be called 5Dollars instead of 5Dimes, as they only take 5 dimes on nfl, nba, bases like every other book. Nickels seem to be the norm

Overall an ok book, but if you are looking for an out to get down $$, forget it. If you are looking to screw around and bet the smaller stuff, this is your out

Good info here.

I have never played at 5 Dimes myself, but i cant remember much bad on the book. Worthy of a small % of the roll IMO.

I have come to really like 5 Dimes. As Neil pointed out, their offerings are incredible.

I might be a little biased, since I have been beating them up on their NHL "-2"s that have been paying a very juicy +400 to +550.

neilm,
If you check your closed bets, you'll see that the prop in question you wagered upon had OVER -160 listed on one side of the prop & OVER +130 listed where UNDER is usually posted on the propositions. It is a clear wording error when OVER is listed on both sides of a proposition. You were either trying to wager upon a line that was 90 cents off (+130 instead of -160) or you truely wanted UNDER, in which case you were offered a price BETTER than +130 for your hassels. It takes a lot more than 10 cents on a prop to void a bet. If you have any futher questions regarding the void of your wager, please post on the forum or contact 5Dimes customer service.

They do need a software upgrade, the only weakness I find there is they are falling behind on the tech end. I am sure they will change it though.

Good Book

As TTinCO said, I love their variety of hockey bets.

I wish they took fee-free neteller withdrawls more than once a week, but that's my only complaint.
